What is Global Giveback UK?
Global Giveback UK is a voluntary initiative to generate learning materials for the charitable sector. Focusing on online resources, we are working with publishers to create new content or to re-brand existing content; working with Corporates for them to donate content they own or provide resource; and working with freelance designers and developers to collaboratively create content.
Who is this aimed at?
We need Charities to provide us with subject matter experts and to help map a curriculum of needs. And we need anybody, either individuals or organisations, to volunteer to create or provide us with content.
Charities: What content do you need? Do you have subject matter experts?
Freelancers: Do you have the skills to help create some content? i.e. designer, trainer, voice over specialist, learning technologies specialist…
Corporates: Do you have any content, or resource that we could use?
Publishers: Could you create something for the charity sector? Do you have any content that could be rebranded/remastered?
Some questions that we’ve encountered so far…
How many resources do you have? The scheme has only just started, and will grow one resource at a time. Get involved at the start of our journey!
What about charities and not for profits which are not members of The Charity Learning Consortium? The scheme is open to ALL charities, housing associations, not for profits and voluntary organisations – as long as they are working within the third sector. Organisations do not have to be members of The Charity Learning Consortium in order to join or benefit.
