Our complimentary quarterly members meetings are incredibly popular – learning & development professionals are great at sharing, and there’s always a buzz at these events! They provide an opportunity to discuss successes, to share best practice, network, and participate in facilitated workshops. The afternoon workshops are led by Laura Overton, the MD of the highly regarded benchmarking organisation Towards Maturity, and cover topics identified by our members.
High profile guest speakers are often invited to these meetings – popular and entertaining past presenters include learning styles ‘guru’ Peter Honey and high profile learning technologies specialists Donald Taylor and Clive Shepherd.
Our members meetings also give us the opportunity to come together to discuss group projects, such as the massive, collaborative video learning project which we have recently undertaken. You can read more about this exciting project on site here.
These quarterly meetings are for our members only and are entirely free to our membership group.
In addition, our members have access to The Charity Learning Consortium’s online network and resource centre, where they can connect with others, ask questions and use our free supporting materials. These include a variety of shared resources for use when promoting eLearning courses internally, including:
- Marketing information – including brochures, posters and templates
- Case studies
- Course outlines
- eLearning background documents
- eLearning implementation documents
- eLearning kits
- PowerPoint presentations from quarterly meetings
- An events calendar
- And much, much more!
The chief reason why charities join the Consortium is to save money. We believe they stay with us not just because of the significant cost savings that they make, but because the many other benefits – including our popular and informative members meetings – prove priceless.
